Question

Publishing an update to a slides community file that I've created doesn't update the actual slides

When I go to Share > Update Community file > Publish update > Save, it will tell me that the file is successfully published.

When I check the community resource page for the Slides file, the name, details, and slide previews are up to date. But when I click “Use template”, the slides are still the previous version of slides.

This is happening to me on Convex Dark Slides, which I am the author of. They are Brian's Figma Toolkit, which is on an education plan.

Seems like it finally updated. But I know I’ve tried to update the template at least 50 or so times over the last year without success.

As of right now, the light theme version of these slides (also published to figma community) Convex Light Slides still has the issue where publishing and update does not actually update the slides that are available when using the template.

The 3rd slide has a version number in the bottom left corner, which is 1.6.0 in the latest version of the file, and this appears in the thumbnail previews for the slides on their community resource page. However, when you click “Use template” then the actual slides are as outdated as 1.3.something.
