Professional account purchased recently downgraded to free

My boss recently paid for a full seat Figma professional annual plan. I had already set up my design system and published it. I open my account today, as soon as I login I find out that my account has been demoted to free account. I don’t understand why can someone help me out with this issue. Also noticed it is a persistent issue with so many users reporting the same thing.

Hi ​@arjun.bhattacharyya, welcome to Figma Forum and glad we got in touch. I understand the concern — paying for a Professional plan and then seeing your account revert to free is not the experience you should be having.

I'm not able to access account settings from here, but I checked in with our Product Support team. They reached out to you last week with some follow-up questions. If you haven't seen their message, try searching your inbox for this case number: 1854413. I've shared your post with them as well so they have the latest context.

In the meantime, since your account is showing as free, a couple of things worth checking:

  1. Account switch: If you've ever used more than one email with Figma, your Professional plan may be on a different account. You can check here: Switch between accounts.
  2. Sign out and back in: Try signing out and logging back in with any other email you may have used when purchasing the Professional plan — your files and plan may be tied to that address.
