Problem with my student group

I create a group for the class with my students and there are problems for the verification in some cases, because they need documentation. I invite my students by mail and the account is institutional in all cases (University of A Coruña). I need that my students can use this application for realize a prototype in a practice class and it’s a problem!! I need solution asap.

Hey ​@iria.santos, thanks for reaching out! I just want to make sure I understand the situation correctly so I can guide you in the right direction:

Have your students already applied through figma.com/education/apply using their official University of A Coruña email addresses, selected Higher Education as the institution type, and completed the SheerID verification process?

If some students were not approved during verification, were they notified of a rejection by SheerID? In those cases, they would need to contact SheerID directly through their support form to resolve documentation issues: https://support.sheerid.com/en-US/help-center?. 

 

Once I understand exactly where the process is getting blocked, I’ll be able to guide you on the next steps and help move this forward as quickly as possible.

The problem was that during class, students needed to access Figma with their verification credentials. Some were able to verify, while others needed to upload documents. Some students tried to upload their verification using their class schedule or student ID, but it failed because it was in another language and they had to wait between 30 minutes and two days. Others didn't even try, as it was an assignment for their practical work, and the problem was a complete technical issue.

Hey ​@iria.santos, thank you for explaining the situation in more detail. I understand how stressful that must have been during class. 

Verification is handled directly by SheerID, so for cases where documents are rejected, the best next step is to contact them through their support form here: https://support.sheerid.com/en-US/help-center?. 

Unfortunately, Figma isn’t able to manually review student documents or override their verification decisions.

 

I know waiting, especially when this impacts coursework and live class time is incredibly frustrating, and I’m really sorry you and your students had to deal with that!
