Presentation link page unresponsive (only 15 slides)

Takes over 10 sec to load a presentation link (with only 15 slides) on browser and in app. Browser shows page unresponsive first then finishes loading. Would be great if it loads faster so we can share the link and viewer can quickly see it without waiting too long or thinking it’s not working.

Hi @SC123, thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. I understand how frustrating it can be to deal with slow loading times, especially when sharing your presentation with others. Let’s work on finding a solution together.

  • Have you tried clearing your cache?
  • For the desktop app: Clear Desktop Cache
  • Does the lag happen with specific slides, or is it consistent across the entire presentation?
  • Have you noticed any difference when using Figma on a different device or network?
  • Has your operating system or browser been updated recently?

These details will help me identify the cause. Please let me know how it goes, thank you!

Hello! I cleared the desktop app cache and it’s still the same.

The lag is after loading. The loading animation is finished and I see my first slide but it takes a while until I can click to the next slide. Loading design file prototype works fine for me.

I tried on MacOS and windows figma app and both have the same problem. Maybe because it’s loading the images? I have about 24 large images throughout the 15 slides.

Hey @SC123
Thanks for sharing these details! This may be related to a performance issue we are investigating now. As Dylan announced, the root cause for spike should be fixed; you might be prompted to refresh your tabs.
If the issue still occurs, please submit a report using this link: Submit a report.
(Sharing the file experiencing delays with our support team would also help us investigate further.)

Thank you!
