I have observed that the Figma application experiences lag on Android devices, and I believe this may be attributed to its utilization of a webview interface. While I am not a technical expert, I have noticed that Figma performs flawlessly within the Brave browser on Android. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Hi, @Celtaury - thanks for your post and for doing some comparisons against a browser on your device.

I’d like to create a ticket for you with our Technical Quality team so they can investigate further. Can you let me know a bit more information about your device and the lag you are seeing? To be specific:

  • Device model
  • Android OS version
  • Figma app version
  • Where you see slowness in specific, i.e. opening and loading files, editing files, such as panning around the canvas, etc.

Thanks!

Certainly, here is the specific information:

- Device Model: Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

- Android OS version: OneUI 8.5/Android 16

- Figma app version: 26.28.0 (It still does lag on this version last time i checked).

- I have noticed a delay when previewing animations on the Figma mobile app, Chrome, and Edge. However, this issue does not occur when using the Brave browser.

Thank you.
