I have a issue with my viewer seats. Mainly in my company people that are not designers or devs have viewer seats. In the past, when I gave someone a viewer seat they could view all the files, but now if I share the file link, they have to request access and I have to approve it. It is very annoying having to do all that process.

Hi @VictoriaPropato ,

I understand that you're wondering why you have to approve every view request for files, even though those users already have a Viewer seat on your team.

In this case, you might want to check the file sharing permissions from the Share modal of the file where you’re receiving those viewer requests: Share settings and permissions

By default, each resource inherits its permission levels from its parent, as you may already know:

  • A file inherits permissions from the project it’s in.

  • A project inherits permissions from the team level.

However, you can override these inherited permissions:

  • Project-level changes override team settings.

  • File-level changes override project settings.

For more details, please see: File and project permissions

If your files don’t have any specific file-level or project-level permissions set, but you’re still receiving repeated access requests from viewers on your team, the tool might not be working as expected.

In that case, I recommend contacting our team directly by submitting this secure form: Submit a request

When submitting your request, please include the file link(s) so our team can investigate the issue more effectively.

Thanks,
