People should not have edit access to my Figma Make file just because I gave them edit access to the folder it's in. They need edit access to the folder so they can make their own Figma Make files. But I don’t want them editing MY Figma Make file! Not only that, it’s a template. Only I should be editing it.

You can move it to your Drafts, so no one except you can edit it

That’s standard permissions logic in every software I’ve ever used, the folder rights will be used on every file that’s made in the folder so you don’t have to change the rights on every new file. I do not want Figma to have more complicated permissions logic.
