Paint tool acting weird

Bucket fill tool is not working correctly even if the selected path is fully closed. Excluding a closed path within the vector with (-) causes the other excluded regions to get filled again. Occures when the initial fill color is already applied, works fine is there’s no fill to start with. Is this a me problem?
