Page disappeared from Draft

I have been working on a Page inside a Draft. It was last edited on Wednesday, July 29. This week, when I opened the Draft, the Page was gone. The Draft now shows a "last edited" date of about two months ago, which does not match my actual work history at all.

Timeline

About two weeks ago, I was mainly working on the Page from my work laptop. When I tried to open it from my personal laptop (same Figma account), the Page was not there, even though it still existed on my work laptop at the time.

Today, the Page also disappeared from my work laptop.

I am certain I did not delete the Page. It does not appear in Version History either.

My question

This is an important, ongoing design project for me. Is there any way to find or restore the missing Page? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey ​@Afore, thanks for flagging this and sorry to hear this, especially with an active project on the line! 

Looking into this properly means going through your file's history in detail, which isn't something I'm able to do here on the forum. That’s why I've opened a support ticket for this, so we can investigate this properly. Your ticket number is #2047297, for reference. You should have an email from us with a few questions we need answered to start investigating:

  1. The link (URL) to the Draft file itself
  2. Sharing the file with our support account (support-share@figma.com) at Can view access
  3. Which browser or app you were using on each device when you first noticed the Page missing
  4. Roughly when you noticed it missing, both two weeks ago and today
  5. Whether any plugins, widgets, or third-party integrations write to this file
  6. Whether "Restore this version" or "Restore from version" was ever used on this file, even briefly

Could you reply to that ticket with those details? That's what we'll need to start digging into the file's history.

A couple of things worth mentioning while we look into it:

  • Files in your personal Drafts (rather than a team) only retain 30 days of Version History by default. That shouldn't be the cause here since your edits were more recent than that.
  • Version History reflects saved checkpoints, so it's possible for content to still exist even if a particular checkpoint isn't currently showing up there.
