Forums (#42331) say that Figma updates Google Fonts every 3 months, but I doubt that’s true entirely. Funnel Display font was added to Google Fonts back in October 2024 (github#8201), yet it’s still unavailable.

The problem is that I’m on Linux, and the team has no plans to release a Linux version of Figma or even a Font Helper for Linux. At the very least, the team should update the Google Fonts database properly.

If the team is manually hand-picking fonts or relying on a sort=popularity parameter limited to the top 1,500 API results, I strongly recommend against this approach. Popularity is not a definitive proxy for quality or demand. A good example is a newly published font like Google Sans, it likely won't appear in a "top 1,500" popularity api response simply because it hasn't had time to trend, despite its actual demand.

I'm having the same issue. And some members of my team aren't able to use the Funnel fonts in Figma even though they've installed them in their computers and already tried using Figma's desktop app, Figma's font installer… nothing works.
