A small change to the constraints pattern which I find quite frustrating. When you change the constraints of an object via the in the Properties panel, it now moves the object to the position of that constraint.

For example, I have an image within a container, which I want to be 40px off-centre. I put the image in it’s place (40px off-centre) and then change the constraint from ‘left’ (default) to ‘centre’. The image will then jump back to centre, and I’ll have to reposition it all over again. In short - you now can’t change constraints without automatically aligning to that constraint.

This feels like a step backwards in terms of UX - previously you were free to use the constraints tool without affecting the position of an object. If you wanted to align the object, you could use the alignment buttons above. Now, I find myself repositioning objects after changing the constraints.

Hi @Cammy Hogg

Thanks for reaching out! I tried to reproduce this behavior but I couldn’t as below. It looks the image keeps position even after changing constraints:

As I’m not understanding correctly, could you share screen recording or screenshots so we can investigate further?

Thanks!
Toku

Hi Toku, thanks for looking into this. The issue appears fixed, whether it’s been patched or if it was just a bug - I guess it doesn’t matter any more. I appreciate your efforts regardless!

Glad to hear it’s resolved for you, @Cammy Hogg
