Hey Figma, 

I just lost access to an important file of which I was the sole owner 😞 this is extremely nerve wracking, please restore the file ASAP!

I see in the backend that you have reached out to the support team, I have escalated internally so they can check directly your file.

For your information, if you're seeing a 404 page when opening a file link, the most common reasons are:

  • You don't have access to the file
  • The file has been deleted

In the meantime, here are a few steps you can check:

  • Make sure you’re logged into the correct Figma account

  • Check that you’ve accepted the invite to view or edit the file (under the right account)

  • Check your deleted files in case it was accidentally removed

  • Contact the file owner to request access again
