Not able to persist the selection of a frame in the Figma for VS Code extension

Hi,
I have the dev mode access and I am trying to select the frame from the layer section but I am not able to have the selection persistent.
As soon as I select the frame the selection of the mock and frame from the layers section sync and within the blink of an eye before even making any other interaction my selection goes away and I don’t get to use properties, links and assets options.
I am using the following
Visual Studio code version: 1.101.2
OS: Windows_NT x64
Figma version: 0.4.1
