Question

No verification email after email change update

I am trying to change the email that I use to log into my account. When I go to the admin panel and input the new one and the password, I get a message saying that I should get a verification email soon. Unfortunately, I am not getting that email to verify my email after trying several times.

Anyone can help with this? The process seems to be working well and it looks like is something in the backend.

I have no emails in spam or trash.

Hey @Zlaten del Castillo, thanks for reaching out! Let me help you with this process.

How you log in to Figma affects how you can change your email address. Do you:

1. Log in with an email and password

2. Use Google Single Sign-On (SSO)

3. Use your company's SAML SSO

Each method has different steps for updating your email address:

If you use email/password login, you can change your email in account settings

If you use Google SSO, your email is managed by Google

If you use SAML SSO, your email is managed by your organization

Could you please confirm your login method so I can provide the specific steps to resolve this issue?

Please note that you can update your Figma email, but you can only update it to another email that doesn't already have a Figma account.

If you already have a Figma account for that email, you can use a third, yet un-used email to free up the email you'd like to switch into. In other words, you can update your preferred email to something different, and this will free up your preferred email.

Alternatively, if you simply want to move files from a team owned by email 1 into a team owned by email 2, you can do that of course. You can move files or move projects to a different team, owned by your second email account.

Thank you,
