No MCP for Make file!?

We’re trying to set up the Figma MCP server with Cursor AI and the Figma Desktop App on Mac for a Make file, but cannot find Dev Mode when opening a Make file, even though their account is full seat. We need help locating the MCP server setup in a Make file.

    Hi ​@cuong.nguyen, 

     

    I understand that you’re trying to fetch project context from a Make file in the Figma desktop app through the Figma MCP server using Cursor.

     

    As long as the MCP server is enabled, you should be able to fetch context by providing a valid Make file link.

    To enable the desktop MCP server, you’ll need to create or open a Figma Design file. You can find the detailed setup steps in the developer documentation here: Desktop server (using desktop app)

    Cursor also supports the Remote MCP server so you can connect directly to Figma’s hosted endpoint without using the desktop app, if that works better for you.

     

    Please check the MCP catalog to confirm whether your client supports local or remote MCP servers, as well as which Figma products are supported.

     

    Once the MCP server is enabled, you can fetch resources from a Make file by providing your AI agent with a valid Make file link. If you’re using the Figma desktop app, you can copy the link by right-clicking the file tab and selecting “Copy link”.

      1. currently I have only Figma Make file, by “create or open a Figma Design file”, do you mean that I need to create Design file from my current Figma file? Is there anyway to fetch the Make file context without creating Design file?
      2. Do i need to publish my Make/Design file to have Remote MCP server works? I asked that because I got “No MCP resources available” message when prompting to implement the design for both Make or Design files
