When applying Figma Motion to an existing component, the animation track displays as purple and shows no keyframes in the timeline, even though keyframing the interaction via the side panel still works. The same workflow on a new layer that is subsequently converted to a component renders correctly.

Nvm, apparently this is the behaviour when you have a component nested in a frame. we have all our components nested in frames to organise them on the artboard, but this apparently hides aspects of the timeline 🤷
