Nested component updates not propagating to existing instances

TL/DR: Nested components aren’t propagating updates correctly. Looking to debug or find a solution that avoids resetting the component instances.

I have a parent component that’s used across hundreds of frames, with a nested logo component sourced from a shared company library. When the company updates a logo variant in the master library, the nested logo in my parent component doesn’t update automatically.

Resetting the nested logo instance in the parent master fixes it there, but existing instances of the parent still show the old logo. Resetting each instance of the parent component makes the logo update, but also removes its custom dimensions, which I need to preserve. I also want to avoid manual resets, as these updates happen frequently. These assets are used across digital marketing assets with all different dimensions, so the instances appear at many different sizes & manually resetting across hundreds of assets would be extremely tedious.

Is there a way to propagate the updated nested logo component to all existing instances without resetting the component, especially without resetting the size dimensions / scale? (Also note: I’m looking for a native Figma solution without using 3P plugins)
