Question

Nested Component purple outline bug / workaround (?)

Jeskosen

Reposting this because the topic was closed without solution. Just ran into this problem. I have a nested swappable component and after swapping the component the swapped component had a purple outline as though it would be selected which it wasn’t.

When I duplicated the Instance the outline was gone in the duplicate. So I deleted the ‘faulty’ instance and all was good. So that could be a workaround. Hope it helps someone.

Happy designing and bugchasing to everyone! 😉

Hi @Jeskosen, thanks for letting us know about this!

So sorry you're running into this issue. It looks like you and some other folks in that thread have bumped into a long-standing bug that we're keeping an eye on. Unfortunately, we can't give you a definite timeline for when it'll be fixed, but we really appreciate you bringing it up.

To help out in any small way I can,  I've added your post (and that other one you found) to our internal report. Fingers crossed it gets a bit more attention and maybe moves up the list!

Also, a big thanks for sharing your workaround – that's seriously helpful for others!

Thanks again for your help with this.
