Hello Figma Support Team,

I'm reaching out regarding an account issue that occurred during an email migration, which has resulted in my account being suspended and my projects becoming inaccessible.

Here's a timeline of what happened:

1. I had a Figma account associated with [redacted] (a corporate email from my previous employer).
2. After leaving the company, I transferred this account to my personal email: [redacted] . I updated all credentials — password, authenticator, and billing information.
3. Shortly after, the new owner of [redacted] .team needed to register a new Figma account on that email. Since it was previously associated with my account, this was apparently handled through Figma Support.
4. Following this process, my account at [redacted]  was suspended and I am no longer able to log in. All of my projects have disappeared.

I've been in contact with the current owner of [redacted] .team, who confirms they also do not see any projects in their account and, importantly, does not claim any ownership over the projects that were originally mine.

I would kindly ask you to:
- Restore access to my account at [redacted]
- Recover my projects that were associated with the original account

Please let me know if you need any additional information to verify my identity or ownership of the account.

Thank you for your help.

Hey @dmitriylee — thanks for posting about this. I’ve redacted the email addresses from your post to help protect your privacy and the privacy of others involved.

From what I understand, your Figma account was originally created with an email address from your previous employer, and you later changed it to your personal email. Afterwards, the current owner of the original email address contacted Support to create a new account with that address, your personal account was suspended and you lost access to your projects.

Since this involves account access, verification, and possible project recovery, we won’t be able to resolve it here on the forum. This will need to be handled directly by our Support team due to it’s complexity.

Please send me a PM with the email address where you’d like Support to contact you. It looks like your forum account may use a different email than the personal one you originally mentioned, so I want to make sure we reach you at the right address.

Thank you!
