I have a tsx file that apparently has become so corrupt with duplicate code and other stuff figma had done, it no longer can use the file and wants to rebuild, but will lose a lot of functionality by doing this.  I was hoping a backup that figma must have someplace can be restored from?  If this was going to be an issue, then I would have downloaded copies myself.  I have to believe Figma keeps backups.  I only yesterdays backup restored.

Hi @Shane Waters ,

Since you mentioned a .tsx file, I assume you’re working in Figma Make, is that right?

If so, you can try reverting your code changes to restore the file to a previous version.
To do this, open the AI chat and click the Restore this version icon next to the file you’d like to revert.

You can learn more about this process here: Version history

In the code editor, you can also edit existing code, write new code, or paste code directly into the editor.
You might also find the Point and Edit tool helpful when making adjustments.

Thanks,

Figma should definitely have some kind of backup or version history beyond just a day. I’d reach out to their support team they might be able to recover an older version from their servers. It’s surprising how easily files can get corrupted like that.
