Hello Figma Support Team,

I’ve built and published my site via Figma Sites under the custom domain: www.cozumyapitr.com

However, when I try to submit the site to Google Search Console, I get the following error:

❌ “URL cannot be indexed. robots.txt could not be fetched.”

I’ve checked manually and indeed the robots.txt file returns 404 Not Found.

Can you please assist me with enabling the robots.txt file or resolving this issue so that my site can be indexed by Google?

Thank you very much.

Hi @meryembayram ,

I understand you're having trouble submitting your custom domain site to Google Search Console due to an error.

To cover the basics, could you please confirm that the "Exclude all webpages from search engine results" option is unchecked? Here's how to check:

  1. Open your Sites file.

  2. Click the tSettings] icon in the left navbar.

  3. Select lGeneral].

  4. Look for the Exclude the website from search engine results] option.

  5. Make sure this box is unchecked.

You can manage this setting both site-wide and for individual pages. Once you've made this change, remember to republish your site for the changes to take effect.

Here's our guide that includes these details: Edit website settings

If you've checked the above and are still facing the issue, I recommend submitting a support request through this secure form: Submit a request.

When you submit the request, please refer to our guide on Submitting a bug report and include the URL of this forum post. This will give our team the full context and help them take a closer look to assist you.

Thanks,
