My MAKE chat on the Figma site becomes increasingly laggy.

Experiencing lag and delays in the MAKE chat on the Figma site when expanding conversations is a common frustration, especially as the text volume increases. The issue seems to worsen over time, specifically when typing into the input field, where the system momentarily freezes before displaying the typed text.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem or found a solution to address this performance issue?

    Good news: Our engineering team has released a fix for the lag issue in the Figma Make chat input field. Typing should now feel much smoother and respond as expected. ✅

    The Make chat interface is extremely slow for me. The interface has stopped taking inputs. I am at version 373 of my app, which has required a lot of patience as the longer the chat thread got (and the more developed the app was), the more the lag issues increased. Now I am unable to get the interface to do anything beyond giving me the error that something went wrong:

     

    This message I typed was very delayed while typing and will result in another Something went wrong message. So I’m stuck. The app is a larger one, with a supabase backend and some shortcut keys built into it for dev feedback so it’s possible one of those details is contributing, but to be honest the lags started many versions ago and have recently gotten much worse. Any help you could offer would be much appreciated as I have hit a wall trying to troubleshoot. 

    If I start a new app, there is no issue with the lag, but I believe it would return with more back and forth with prompts before long. I’m looking forward to working with you on a resolution as this is still a new product. Thanks. Loving Make! - Paul

      Incidentally. The app itself is running and is fairly responsive in the preview, it seems to be the Claude chat interface that is struggling.
