Question

“Move to trash” and “Move...” missing on some team folders for a team admin (ticket #2199715)

I’m an admin with a Full seat on a Professional team. I’m reorganizing our folders into a nested structure, but on some top-level folders “Move to trash” doesn’t appear in Settings and “Move...” is grayed out. On other folders in the same team, both work.

On the affected folders: team access is “can edit,” there are no connected teams, no individual collaborators, and each has an active owner (not me). They were created in this team, not transferred in. Settings shows the admin options (Connect an external team, Transfer, Send a copy), so my admin role is recognized.

I’ve tried a hard reload, signing out and in, and both the browser and the desktop app.

I opened ticket #2199715 on Oct 16. The AI agent ruled out the usual causes and escalated, but I haven’t heard from anyone since. Has anyone seen this, or could a Figmate take a look at the ticket?

Hi, @Sam at The Gnar 👋 Thanks for flagging. I located your ticket (ID 2199715). I connected your ticket to our technical team so they can take a deeper look. I have two requests for you. Please add to your support ticket (not here). Can you add:

    • Folder links: One affected folder and one working folder in the same team, shared with View access to support-share@figma.com
    • Full-screen recording: Show the affected folder’s disabled “Move…” option, Settings menu, and sharing permissions, then compare with the working folder

    Thank you! — Jaycee
