Mistakenly purchased a separate Professional Plan for a new member – want to convert to a team seat instead

Hello Figma Community & Support Team,

I made a mistake when trying to add a new member to my Professional team and need your help.

What happened:

  1. I already have a Professional Plan team (Team A, annual subscription). I wanted to invite another person and buy an additional Full Seat within Team A.

  2. However, instead of adding a seat to my existing team, I mistakenly purchased a brand new, separate Professional Plan (Team B) for that person.

  3. As a result, I am now paying for two independent subscriptions for the same person: my original Team A (for myself) and a separate Professional Plan under that user’s email.

  4. My real need is simply to add one seat inside my existing Team A.

What I have done:

  • I have removed that user’s edit access to avoid further prorated charges.

  • I have already emailed Figma Support about this, but due to the US holiday I haven’t received a reply yet.

My request:
Could you please help me by:

  • Cancelling and refunding (or refunding the unused prorated amount of) the mistakenly purchased separate Professional Plan (Team B), and

  • Allowing me to instead add a regular Full Seat for that user inside my existing Team A (or converting the already-paid amount into a team seat fee).

This way I can pay correctly for a team member, instead of having two useless subscriptions for the same person.
