I updated Figma today and immediately ran into the same missing fonts issue. I’ve already spent a lot of time trying to fix it – went through the steps suggested in this thread (Font Book checks, reinstalling Figma, resetting Figma, etc.), but nothing has worked so far.

Right now I’ve installed the beta desktop app (126.6.2), but Figma still doesn’t see my local fonts (the “Fonts installed by you” section is empty, even though the fonts are installed and validated).

I’d really like to get this resolved as soon as possible, because it’s blocking my work on current projects.

@Gayani_S The font issue is still an issue for the web version of figma on Tahoe 26.5.  I prefer using web versions to keep client accounts organized. Please get the team to address the web issue as well.

Figma was working fine on my 2016 mac with an old ios. Today I opened figma on a new laptop and all the font links are broken, and figma font installer is not working.

I’ve restarted, uninstalled and reinstalled, refreshed, check permissions, validated. I cant add figma font helper to the disk access.

Hey everyone, quick update for those following this thread!

We've shipped fixes that should resolve the missing fonts issue for most people:

  • Stable releases 126.4.13 and 126.5.6
  • Beta desktop app 126.6.2

If you're still seeing this, head to the downloads page or hit Check for updates within the Figma desktop app to make sure you're on the latest version.

@Bree_Hill, thanks for the extra detail, since your setup looks different from the desktop version issue above, let's troubleshoot it separately.

A couple of things to check:

  1. Check the Font Installer's connection status. Open the Figma main menu, go to Preferences > Permissions and helpers, and look at Local network access. If it shows Blocked or Not connected, follow the prompts there to allow local network access and reconnect the Font Installer.
  2. Restart FigmaAgent. Open Activity Monitor (Applications > Utilities), search for FigmaAgent in the CPU tab, select it, and quit/force quit it. Then reopen the Figma desktop app or the font installer from the downloads page. FigmaAgent should restart automatically in the background.

Full steps (including the Windows equivalent) are here: Troubleshoot the Figma Font installer.

Let me know if that gets your local fonts showing up under "Installed by you". And for the web version report specifically, if you can share which browser and OS version you're on, that'll help the team as they look into it.
