MCP quota error despite “20 available” in Usage

My Starter team’s Usage panel shows “20 available” monthly MCP tool calls, but reading a shared design file through the Figma integration in Codex returns a Starter quota-limit error. The upgrade link in the error refers to a different team.

Could a Figma Support Specialist arrange a private support case to confirm which quota is applied and its exact reset date and timezone? I can provide account and file details privately.

Hi @Павел Луничев 👋 Thanks for your post. Two quick questions:

  • what do you get back when you run whoami in Codex?
  • can you confirm which team owns the file and what seat you have in that team?

Thank you! — Jaycee

Hi Jaycee, thanks for looking into this.

I have just run the Figma whoami tool in Codex. It returns my account and one team, with the following membership:
- Tier: Starter
- Seat: Full
- Role: admin

This confirms my membership in my own team, but I cannot yet confirm which team owns the shared design file or my seat in that owning team. The quota error's upgrade link referred to a different team from the one shown by whoami.

As noted in my original post, my team's Usage panel showed 20 available monthly MCP tool calls when the shared-file read returned a Starter quota-limit error. Could you help confirm which team's quota is being applied and the exact reset date and timezone?

Could we continue in a private support case so I can share the complete whoami output, team IDs, and file link without posting account or file details publicly? Please let me know the appropriate private channel. Thank you!
