Hi @Miyuki Kaneko, thanks for reaching out!

I understand the confusion here, but I think I know what’s happening. Please note that there are two versions of the Figma MCP server with different requirements:

  • Remote server: available on all seats and plans. On a Starter plan, you get 6 tool calls per month.
  • Desktop server: the toggle inside Dev Mode. This one requires a Dev or Full seat on a paid plan.

The "Enable integration" toggle you were switching on is the desktop version, which is why you saw the upgrade prompt. Your 6 calls/month apply to the remote server, so you can skip the Figma toggle entirely and connect from the Claude side instead.

Depending on which Claude you're using:

  • Claude Desktop / claude.ai: add the Figma connector and authorize your Figma account
  • Claude Code: run claude plugin install figma@claude-plugins-official, restart Claude Code, then /plugin → select figma → authorize (full instructions here)

Once connected, right-click a layer in Figma → Copy link to selection, and paste that URL into Claude. Please know that the 6/month limit is counted against the plan that the file you're accessing belongs to. Hitting the cap can surface as a connection-style error, so that's worth ruling out too. Which Claude are you using: Desktop or Code? And if you can share the exact error text or a screenshot, we can investigate further.
