Math doesn't math anymore?

Changing dimensions on an object can sometimes be weird.

In this example, I have a simple square 32x32, and if i’m trying to use math to change the size, it calculates wrong. Happens on multiplication and division as well. I don’t know how else I can explain it, watch the gif please.
