Friend’s account

Here’s a comparison of my account and my friend’s.

We both go to the same school. Same age. Same email-domains. Same sign-in methods. same education plan. We both selected “High school” when applying for the edu program. (I know that I am not qualified nor have applied to K-12 in the past for sure.)

So what’s happening here? Why don’t I have these features when my friend who meets all of the requirements and has the same conditions as me have them?

Hey @reom, thanks for flagging this!

From the screenshots, it looks like your account is currently falling under K–12, which would explain why you don’t have access to Figma Make and Sites. That said, given the details you shared, it definitely seems worth a closer look.

I’ve gone ahead and created a support ticket on your behalf so the Education team can investigate this properly. Your ticket number is #1852984 for reference, they’ll take a closer look at this.

Let me know if there is anything else I can help with!

I wonder why K-12 is appliable though. My school is and only has high school. (Afaik high school starts from y15+ here in Japan.)

Is there any way I could remove the current education plan? For instance, transfer my files to a personal account temporarily, and re-create my school account and re-apply for the edu plan?

Hey @reom!

I wouldn’t recommend moving your files or trying to reapply just yet. In cases like this, it’s usually better to let the Education team review your setup first. You may not need to go through that process at all.

I’m going to flag your case internally so it gets a bit more visibility with the team. They’ll be able to give you the most accurate guidance on what’s going on here and the best next steps.

Appreciate your patience while the team looks into this and feel free to reach out if anything else comes up in the meantime!
