My team members have recently been encountering the same error repeatedly when using the Make feature:

"Something went wrong. Please try again."

This is followed by an error code. One example is:

6f03d20e-ab49-4edd-8048-e4af48ac51f4

I tried following the instructions in the official help documentation and created a duplicate copy of the file before running it again, but the same error still occurred.

Could you please advise how we can resolve this issue?

Hey @Jackson-horseteam , thanks for reaching out! Duplicating the file is a great first troubleshooting step, so thanks for already giving that a try.

Here are a few other things worth trying:

  • Switch to a different AI model and try again. We've seen similar "Something went wrong" errors resolve after changing models.
  • Reload the browser tab and wait a moment before retrying.
  • If you're working with a large selection, try breaking it into smaller sections.
  • Check your network connection, and try a different network/device if available.
  • Open the file in a different browser and clear your cache and cookies.
  • Disable any browser extensions or plugins.
  • Temporarily turn off any VPN, antivirus, or firewall software.
  • Confirm that port 443 (HTTPS/SSL traffic) is open.

If the issue still persists after trying the steps above, please submit a bug report to our Technical Quality team via our Support Hub → Click Start a chat → Type Report a bug → Press Enter and follow the prompts.

When submitting the report, please also include:

  • The error code(s) you're seeing
  • A screen recording, if possible
  • A link to the affected file and grant "Can View" access with support-share@figma.com
  • A list of the troubleshooting steps you've already tried (including duplicating the file)

That information will help the team investigate more deeply. Thanks!
