Major Buzz Bug: Content Clipping not working in Asset View

Loving Buzz, but there is a bug when viewing in Asset View. The content clipping doesn’t work and everything bigger than the canvas is low opacity - making it really hard to judge the content. In Grid View, it works fine and clips normally.

Also every time I ‘flip’ through designs with up/down arrows it highlights the frame in blue - VERY distracting. The whole benefit of Buzz is seeing your posts as they would be published, but Buzz is making that VERY HARD to do.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?

Otherwise, such a great addition to Figma. Enjoying it. But these two are killers.

I’ll clarify - clipping of frames inside the design work. It’s just the normal base frame (top level) clipping that doesn’t work.

Hey, Celine from the Community support team, thanks for flagging this and for the detailed feedback, really appreciate it! I can see how both of these behaviors would make Buzz harder to use, especially for reviewing content as it would be published.

To help us better understand what’s happening, would you mind sharing a quick screenshot or short screen recording showing:

  • The opacity/clipping issue in Asset View

  • The blue highlight when navigating with the up/down arrows

That will help us visualize the behavior more clearly.

If you’d prefer, you can also reach out directly to our Support team via the secure form, and include the screenshots or video there so they can take a closer look (Click to ‘Start a chat’ > Type ‘Submit a bug report’: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new).

Thanks again for taking the time to report this!

Clip Content option is not working on parent frame of the Component/Template itself, there is no UI checkbox for that, nor it does inherit option that was set in normal design file. This is just ridiculous how half-baked this feature still.

Hi, @Oleh_Shydlovskyi1 👋

I went and ran through this on my end to see if I could reproduce it, and I wanted to share what I'm seeing in case it helps.

My quick test:

  • I built a frame in Figma Design with Clip content on

  • Brought it into a Buzz file as the top-level frame

  • On my side the Clip content checkbox does show up for that parent frame — it lives in the Layout section of the right panel
  • The setting carried over from Design (still clipping as expected)

One thing that might be the difference: that checkbox appears when you're in Buzz's design mode view (the panel toggle at the bottom of the toolbar) rather than the default content-editing view. Could you check whether you're seeing it there? Talk soon! — Jaycee

Yeah, it works perfectly fine for nested frames, but the main frame does not have it (at least for me), that's my main point, and i don't see any reason why this limitation is in place at all. It doesn't affect export, as exported files are always trimmed, but i just tired to explain this to social media folks that unclipped view is not the actual representation of exported file, and there is no reason for why we couldn't have this checkbox for parent frame at the first place. I can rant about this feature for a lot more, like layers panels disappearing or bulk editing that replaced more friendly experience that were initially there per single asset, and I wish Figma folks could've taken care more about features they deliver.

Hey, @Oleh_Shydlovskyi1 Thank you for being honest. It’s valid feedback. I will share this with our team. If you have other Figma Buzz-related feedback that you would like to add, let’s work on bundling it up and getting it formatted and I’ll get it to the right folks. And if you’re good for now, I respect that too. Talk soon! — Jaycee
