Abdullah Wali

I am the original creator and former admin of this file.
After an Education plan issue, I lost admin rights and now see “admin approval required.”
I can access the file but cannot edit it.
Please restore my admin access or transfer ownership back to my account.

Hi @Abdullah Wali, thanks for reaching out and for sharing the file link!

I’ve taken a look, and the file currently lives in the Design Projects team, where you have a Collab seat. That’s why you’re seeing the “admin approval required” message and aren’t able to edit the file.

For context a collab seat offers only:

Seats are separate from permissions. In Figma, a person's seat determines which Figma products they have access to. For example, a user with a Collab seat has access to FigJam and Figma Slides.

Permissions determine which files, projects, and teams they can edit. For a user to be able to edit a file, they need both the appropriate seat and permissions

Right now, the limiting factor is the seat type. To regain edit access, your team admin (A.) will need to update your seat type from a collab seat to a full seat.

Let me know if you have any further questions, happy to help out!
