Lost files-urgent-graduation related

1. File names and last access
The files that I have identified as missing are:

• G7 – last accessed approximately within the past 1–2 months
• P6 / I3 – last accessed yesterday
• Projects – last accessed approximately within the past 1 months

I am confident that I did not delete any of these files. I have not intentionally deleted any files in my account for at least the last three months.

2. Team or project location

These files were previously stored under my student account. I always access to them through "recent" section after I create it.

3. Collaborators with access

Only one of these fileshave had collaborators with view or edit access for academic purposes.

• G7 – 5 other collaborators with view or edit access
• P6 / I3 – only me
• Projects – only me

• I’m the file owner/creator
• Multiple files disappeared simultaneously without any deletion action
• Collaborators also lost access to shared files
• This is urgent due to academic deadlines

Hello Figma Support Team,

I am writing to report an urgent issue regarding multiple missing files in my Figma account.

Today, I discovered that at least three files are missing, even though I am certain that I have not deleted any files in the past three months. The files I have clearly identified as missing are:

• G7

• P6 / I3

• Projects

There is also a possibility that additional files may be missing, but these are the ones I have confirmed so far.

Checks already performed

Before contacting support, I have already checked:

• All Teams and Projects

• Drafts

• Deleted files

• Account login consistency

Unfortunately, I am still unable to locate these files.

These files were stored under my student account.
After creation, I consistently accessed them through the “Recent” section, rather than moving them between projects. They were actively used and not archived.

3. Collaborators with access

• G7 – shared with 5 collaborators (view or edit access for academic purposes)

• P6 / I3 – only me (I am the sole owner/creator)

• Projects – only me (I am the file owner/creator)

Notably:

• Multiple files disappeared simultaneously, without any deletion action from my side

• Collaborators also lost access to the shared file (G7)

These files are critical for my university coursework and upcoming exams, and this issue is extremely urgent due to academic deadlines. I am concerned that this may be a system-related issue, unintended removal, or backend error not initiated by me.

I would greatly appreciate it if your team could prioritize this case, investigate what happened to these files, and assist in recovering them if possible.

Please let me know if you need any additional information from my side, such as:

• approximate creation dates,

• or collaborator details.

I completely understand how frustrating it must be to be missing these files while you’re on a tight deadline before graduation. To keep things in one place, we’ve merged your recent forum topics together here.

While my team here on the forum isn’t able to assist with File management, I took a look at your email address associated with your forum account and saw that you already reached out to support directly on ticket #1685413. 

I’ve escalated your ticket on your behalf so that someone from support will connect with you soon.

In the meantime, what can sometimes occur is the team that these files were in was accidentally deleted. I did a little digging on the backend, and it looks like you were an editor on a team that was recently deleted by its owner Fangyu Mou:  干就完事儿了

If it is likely that you accidentally created these files within this team, that would explain their sudden disappearance. Does this person sound familiar? If so, are you able to get in touch with them to possibly restore the team to allow you the ability the duplicate the files within your own team to ensure this doesn’t happen again.
