Hi,

help.figma.com/hc/requests/1764969 Here’s my ticket

As the case with many others, I lost my Figma File - theres one FigJam and one Figma - and I can’t find them anywhere. I last contributed to this FigJam and Figma file YESTERDAY and suddenly I can’t find it.

I have done all the research and steps to try to recover including:

  • Looked in my work account ([redacted by forum admin/moderator to remove PII]) not managed by me but I am an admin
  • searched alllll the terms I recall 
  • Looked in my personal account (the RIGHT one at [redacted by forum admin/moderator to remove PII])
  • Looking in Drafts
  • Looking in Recents 
  • Looking in Trash (with “Created by You” and “Created by Anyone” filters)

It looks to me like nothing I’ve created or edited in the last 3 months is there. While looking for it today, I cleaned up my existing Projects and it is nowhere! HELP SOS!

A quick note from our side: our backend shows that you have access to multiple plan teams. Every team has its own Trash and Drafts sections, so please double-check those in each team by switching teams in your file browser to make sure nothing is missed.

    Thank you so much for your help - very excited to get my files back!

    That makes sense. I did rename my current “Team” and had one other “Team” but I created it today and promptly deleted it realizing I didn’t need it - pretty sure there wasn’t anything in that one. So, maybe that’s the issue but it’s not showing any in the dropdown so I’m unable to check it myself. I’m looking forward to the email.

      ​@Junko3 Unfortunately they said they need the URL but I don’t have that and they claim they can’t help me without it. Any other ideas? Seems strange that I haven’t seen any files I’ve created or edited in the last 3 months.

      Wait, I think I found the URL to one of my two missing files. Whew!

      Sorry to hear your file went missing. Drafts can sometimes vanish after browser crashes or if you were logged in with a different account by mistake.

      Try this: log out completely, clear cache, log back in with the email you usually use, then check the Drafts section again. If it's still gone, search your email for any recent share links from Figma or notifications about the file.

      If nothing shows up, hit up Figma support directly through the help menu with as many details as you have (file name, approximate creation time, any collaborators). They've recovered lost drafts for people before. Hope it turns up quick.
