Hi team, I’ve lost an important file; and I can no longer find it on my account at all; can I get some help on this? I cannot see it in my Deleted either.

Hey @jennychews , thanks for reaching out, and I’m sorry you’re having trouble locating your file. Since file recovery involves account-specific information, we’re not able to look into this directly here in the Forum.

This type of issue usually happens if you’re logged into a different Figma account, the file was deleted, or the file was moved to a location you no longer have access to.

Before anything else, could you please check the following:

  • The file is in your deleted folder: Open your Drafts, then click the Deleted tab. If the file is there, right-click to restore it.
  • Moved by a teammate: If others had access, the file may have been moved to a different team or project.
  • Correct account: Make sure you’re logged into the Figma account that originally owned or accessed the file. You can switch accounts from the top-left of the file browser.

If you still haven't found it, I’ve also just sent you a DM with the next steps so our team can help you investigate what happened to the file.
Please take a look when you can, thank you!
