Lost Access to my old student account!

Hello,

I was logged into an old school email, and after graduating recently, the institution deleted that email address. I wasn’t able to edit the email for the account and now, I cannot sign back in. I’m really scared as this was 3 years worth of work 😭 and I would hate to lose it. I have created this temporary account to connect with support teams to get some help. Please let me know if there is anything that can be done!

Hi ​@Gourav , Thanks for reaching out! Sorry to hear you've lost access to your account email.

 

If you're forwarding emails from your school email to your current email, resetting your password is the easiest way to get back into your Figma account.  Once you're logged in, you can update your email address in your account settings. Please check this guide for details: Manage email address or password

 

If you're not forwarding those emails, our support team can assist manually update the account email for you.

Because account security is so important, we handle all account detail changes very carefully.  This means we need to review each request thoroughly, and we can't guarantee that every request will be approved. We appreciate your understanding.

If you’d like to move forward, please submit a support ticket here with the following details:

  • The school email address associated with your student account
  • The new email address you'd like to use (Please make sure this email isn't already connected to a Figma account)
  • The names of your student Team(s) 

After you submit a ticket, our support team will review your request and contact you for any additional information required to proceed.

If you have submitted a ticket with all the details mentioned above and have not received a response within a reasonable time, please inform us, and we will follow up on it.

Hi ​@Junko3, Thank you for your reply.

As instructed by you, I have submitted the ticket with all the above mentioned points. But the email associated with the figma account is not accessible right (old school mail). So how can i track the ticket or how will support team reach out to me?

You should receive an email confirmation about the new ticket shortly. It will be cc'd to both:

  • The new email address you provided in your ticket.
  • The email address linked to your forum account.

The subject line of this email will be something like "Follow-up from Figma Support." Thanks again for your cooperation!
