Loss of Projects due to Migration

Greetings,
My previous user email is [redacted by forum admin to remove PII] and recently, after I completed my studies, my university has migrated the email from siswa to siswa-old, causing my email to be [redacted by forum admin to remove PII].

Consequently, my Figma projects under my previous version of email are all gone, losing years worth of projects and designs, even those related to the workshops I conducted. Does anyone know how to get my projects back?

Thank you.

Hi @PRAVIN RA UM,

I understand that you lost access to your previous email address due to your university migrating your account, and you’re now having trouble accessing your Figma account that was tied to your old email.

Does your school (or you) have email forwarding set up from the old siswa address to the new siswa-old address?

If so, the easiest way to regain access is to reset your password. Once you’re back in your account, you can update your email address in your account settings. You can follow this guide for more details: Manage email address or password

I also noticed that you opened a support ticket using your previous email address (#1619228), and our support specialist has already provided the steps needed for us to manually update your Figma account email. Since you haven’t responded to that ticket, I’m assuming email forwarding isn’t enabled.

Just so you know, for security and privacy reasons, we can’t assist with account-related issues like this here on the Forum. However, I see that you also opened another ticket (#1604389) using your current email, so I’ll go ahead and add a note to that ticket for our specialists and increase the priority.

They’ll get back to you as soon as they’re able, so please wait for their reply and continue the conversation directly through your ticket email.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Hi, but I don't think reset email would work because I cant access the presumably old account at all in figma already and it literally logged me out after the migration of email happened. In my gmail, its a singular account, but figma is treating it as different accounts, thus the loss of projects. Unfortunately causing me to lose any type of access to the old projects
