Licensing Question About Figma Education Plan

I understand that the Education Plan is intended for educational use.

I have one specific licensing question. If I create 100% original vector illustrations and SVG graphics from scratch using Figma (without using Community assets, templates, plugins, AI-generated content, or any third-party resources), am I allowed to upload and sell those original designs on Adobe Stock?

Or does the Figma Education Plan prohibit any commercial sale of content created with the Education Plan, even if the work is entirely my own?

I would greatly appreciate a clear confirmation so I can fully comply with Figma's license terms.

Hey @Mobashir Rahman , Celine from the Figma Community Support team here! Thanks for your thoughtful question. I checked with our Legal team to make sure I gave you the correct information.

While the work may be 100% your own original creation, the Figma Education Plan is intended for non-commercial use only. This means that content created using an Education Plan should not be sold or otherwise used for commercial purposes, including uploading and selling original illustrations or SVG assets on marketplaces such as Adobe Stock.

If you'd like to use your Figma-created work commercially, you'll need to subscribe to a non-Education Figma plan.

Thanks for checking first, we appreciate you taking the time to ensure you're complying with the license terms!

Thank you for the clarification. I appreciate you taking the time to confirm this with the Legal team.

To be honest, I'm disappointed. As a university student, I was hoping to use the Education Plan not only to learn, but also to build my own original portfolio and earn some part-time income through Adobe Stock while continuing my studies.

Unfortunately, if commercial use is not permitted, I won't be able to use Figma for the work I had planned.

I completely respect Figma's licensing terms and will comply with them, but I wanted to share that this is quite discouraging for students like me who are trying to support themselves while studying.

Thank you again for providing a clear answer. I truly appreciate it.
