Library updates stuck permanently — “Preview unavailable” and updates reappear after applying

I have several components from a published Figma library that are permanently stuck in Review Updates.

For example, one icon (Support) shows 25 instances requiring an update. Review Updates shows “Preview unavailable” for both the current and updated versions. Clicking Update/Update all appears to work, but the exact same update immediately returns.

I’ve already tried Repair Component Connections and rebuilding connections.

I also investigated the file using Figma Agent. It identified the exact 25-instance cohort (Home Topbar → Buttons Icon → Support) and confirmed that all component IDs, keys, instance-swap properties, variables, overrides, and parent components resolve correctly. No broken or stale references are visible in the document graph.

As a test, I completely removed the affected nested dependency from the source component and published the library again. The same 25-instance update still remained.

Two other components (Info and Text Field Single Line) are now exhibiting the same stuck-update behavior.

This appears to be stale library revision/update state that isn’t exposed through the document model.
