Letter-spacing bugged; scaling by the thousands

Hey hey ​@Angie_Kersten 🤩 Thanks for you question and for including the video. Super helpful. 

I tried reproducing this in my own file:

• Inter font with font size of 77
• Manually tying and scrubbing to change letter spacing +/- with % and px

but, I got the expected behaviour.

A few quick questions:

• Is the text plain, or using a text style, bound variable, or inside an instance? If so, an edit to that style/variable could be overriding your changes — explaining why it "stopped" and followed into a new file.
• Roughly when did it start, and did anything change around then — a library update you accepted, a Figma update, switching machines?
• Are you on the desktop app or browser, and which OS/version?

One quick test:

• Click into the letter-spacing field
• Clear it, and type 0 (or 0px) directly rather than scrubbing 
• Does the text respond to that?

It looks like, as of today, this issue is isolated to only that file. It’s probably because it’s a fairly large file - lots of pages and assets. Was able to create text in other new/existing files just fine. 

• The text is plain, with no styles, variables, or instances affecting it.
• This issue did start after the most recent Figma update.
• I use the MacOS version 126.7.8. 

The text does not respond to typing a specific letter-spacing value; it reverts to only a percentage at a scale of 100 (so it reverts to 100%, 200%, 300%, etc) without any change happening.

It’s OK, though – I can copy any necessary work into a new file and hopefully not continue to run into this issue. Thank you for your assistance!

Typing 0px actually did solve this issue! For some reason the percentage won’t work, but px spacing will.
