Layers panel doesn't show all my layers, they seem to be hidden.

I can’t see beyond a certain point in the Layers panel, the layers seem to be hidden by an invisible limit, which didn’t exist before the new update to the Layers panel. I can’t edit the layers because I can’t see them, and the focus interaction doesn’t work either.

Hi @Gamaliel_Sierraalta,

I understand that you’re having an issue with the Layers panel. From your screenshot, it looks like some layers that should appear in the lower half of the panel aren’t visible — is that correct?

I tested this on my end, and the Layers panel appears to be working as expected.

Could you please check a few things for us?

  • Is this happening only in a supported browser, in the desktop app, or in both?

  • Does this occur in a specific file or across all files?

Also, to cover the basics, please try these quick fixes and see if there’s any change:

  1. Close any Figma tabs you’re not using.

  2. Browser: Force-quit your browser and reopen Figma in a new window. Desktop app: Force-quit the Figma Desktop app and restart it.

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our support team directly so they can investigate further: Submit a request

When submitting the form, please include:

  • The URL of the file where you’re seeing the issue, and grant edit access to support-share@figma.com (granting access will not affect your billing).

  • A video recording of the issue showing the full Figma screen.

  • Any findings from the troubleshooting steps above.

This information will help our team reproduce the issue and investigate it more effectively.

Thanks,

Quick fix for Figma layers not showing:

1. Expand all groups/folders– click the arrows/carets.

2. Check filters – set the search/filter to “All Layers.”

3. Check visibility – make sure the eye icon is on.

4. Scroll / resize panel – adjust the Layers panel height.

5. Restart Figma – reload the app or browser.

6. Select via canvas– click the layer on canvas to highlight it in the panel. These steps usually restore hidden layers.

@Junko3 Maybe it was some kind of bug. I tried it on the desktop app, chrome, and safari and I got the same results. I even restarted a few times. After 24 hours or so, the issue was gone on its own.

@harrie not at all what I needed.

Check if your layers are inside collapsed groups or if a filter is active in the Layers panel — that usually hides some layers.
