K-12 School Marked as “Not Eligible” in SheerID – Request to Add School

Hi Figma team 👋,

I’m posting here because my K-12 Education verification is being blocked at the institution level, not the document level.

When selecting my school during the SheerID verification process, I immediately receive this message:

“This benefit is not available.
The educational institution you selected is not eligible.”

This message appears before any documents are reviewed, which suggests that my school is currently marked as not eligible in the SheerID / Figma eligibility database.

School details

  • Name: Keisung Primary School

  • Location: Daegu, Republic of Korea

  • Education level: K-12 (Elementary School)

  • Official school domain: keisung.dge.es.kr

I’ve attached a screenshot showing the exact eligibility message for reference.

This is a legitimate K-12 school under the local education authority, but it seems the school itself is not yet included in the list of eligible institutions used by SheerID. Because of this, all verification attempts are automatically blocked or closed.

At this point, submitting additional documents does not move the process forward.

I’d really appreciate guidance on:

  • How to request that a K-12 school be added to the eligible institutions list, or

  • Whether a manual review can be initiated to resolve an institution-level restriction

I’m happy to provide any official documentation if needed (school verification letters, domain proof, role confirmation, etc.).

Thanks so much for your time — any help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated 🙏

P.S.
I’d like to clarify one additional point: the school name may appear slightly different depending on automatic translation.

The original Korean name is 계성초등학교, which is officially translated as Keisung Primary School.
However, due to machine translation, it may sometimes appear as Gyeseong Elementary School.

Both names refer to the same official K-12 school, located in Jung-gu, Daegu, Republic of Korea.
I wanted to clarify this in case the name discrepancy causes any confusion during review.

Hey @이상율 — welcome to Figma Forum, and thanks for flagging this. I understand that the verification in your scenario is being blocked at the institution level, not the document level.

I can’t access or share account-specific information here, but I want to make sure this gets resolved as quickly as possible. I checked on your request and see that it’s open with our Education Team. Your case number is: 1671780, and I’ve included the additional context you shared in this post. Someone from the team will reach out as soon as they’ve reviewed your case.

In the meantime, for general guidance on the Figma for Education process, this resource is helpful and kept up to date: Figma for Education → Verify your education status. Please keep an eye on the email inbox tied to your Figma account for updates.
