issue with figma for education

Hello team, Yesterday i applied for figma for education and got verified using sheer ID. I then signed up to figma. But, account is still showing as free. when i click on free button, its giving me option to upgrade but not showing education option. but already my student account was verified and approved via sheer id, but not reflecting in the figma account. i tried logging out and logging in, creating new team and everything possible. but nothing helped. Can you help me with this pelase?

Hey ​@aslam, thanks for reaching out! 

Once your student status is approved through SheerID, the Education plan is not always applied automatically to an existing team. The account is verified, but the team itself still needs to be upgraded to the Education plan.

 You can upgrade the team by following the Figma for Education -> Application process:

  1. Log in at figma.com to open your file browser.
  2. In the left sidebar, find your team and click the Free badge next to its name.
  3. In the upgrade window, choose the Education plan and follow the prompts.

 

If you don’t see the Education option there, it’s possible that the SheerID verification was completed using a different Figma account than the one you’re currently logged into. In that case, the verified status wouldn’t reflect on this account. Please check the Figma account that was verified. 

 

If you believe the verification was applied to the wrong account, please fill out this form so our team can look into it and assist further. Please note that we’re unable to transfer Education status from an account using an educational email address to one using a personal email address.
