When exporting Frames (that include text) to .pptx
, the background or decorative shapes—such as rounded rectangles or masks—are often missing in the exported file, leaving only the text.
This results in a significant loss of visual fidelity and breaks the intended layout.
I strongly suggest that, at minimum, the entire Frame should be exported as a PNG image to preserve its original appearance.
This issue has caused major difficulties when using Figma to design presentation slides, and I hope it can be addressed or improved soon.
Hi
I understand you're encountering issues when exporting to PowerPoint (.pptx) from Figma Slides, particularly with backgrounds or decorative elements like rounded rectangles and masks going missing.
There are some current limitations with PPTX export, which are detailed in our guide: PowerPoint (.pptx) export limitations
While I couldn't replicate the exact issue with rounded rectangles disappearing, I did observe some issue with masks. Since our documentation doesn't explicitly cover mask behavior in PPTX exports, I'll pass your feedback directly to our team for their review.
For the rounded rectangles issue, if you've checked the limitations guide and believe your specific problem isn't covered there, please submit a bug report with more details. This will allow our team to investigate it thoroughly. You can find instructions on how to do that here: Submit a bug report
Thanks,
