Issue Report: File Disappeared From Workspace

Hi, a Figma file seems to have disappeared from my workspace. I’ve checked search, Drafts, and Trash, but couldn’t find it. I was the only admin and I don’t make any file changes.

Could you please advise what might have caused this file to disappear? I’m concerned this could also happen to my other files. I’d appreciate clarification on whether this is a known issue and if there are any steps I can take to prevent it.

Hey ​@Andieta, thank you for reaching out! 

I checked on this internally, and the file hasn’t been deleted. It’s currently located in the team “UAS International Trip Support”, and the file owner is W. 

I’d recommend reaching out to W. to request permission for the file. Once they give you permission, you should be able to access the file again.

Hi, thank you for your response.

The previous file owner is already resigned and the account is deactivated. Can you suggest on what should we do in terms of document and files that is under that account? Is it possible to change ownership after the email and account is deactivated?
