I’m not sure if this was intentionally left off or it’s not fully rolled out.

It seems the feature isn’t available to everyone yet.

In the meantime, if you need to import/export variables, you can try TokenForge — it handles full variable export (CSS, JS, TS, JSON, W3C, etc.) and even lets you import W3C tokens back into Figma. 😉

Hey!
I had the same issue… that’s why I took it into my hands and built somehting… and it’s FREE to use!
Check out PRISM Tokens: https://prismtokens.app/

It’s a SaaS tool designed to bridge the gap between Designers and Devs.

P.S. There is also a Figma plugin: https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/1582392311915034049/prism-sync that you can use to sync Variables… (and you can sync you variables, no matter what Figma plan you are on)

Give it a try and let me know what you also. I’m also opened to feedback and adding more improvements/features into the product.

Thanks!
