Couldn't connect, check your internet and try again

Been getting this error on a project. My internet has been spotty today but it is working with every other application now and I’m still getting this error above the AI prompt area in Figma Make. Tried restarting Figma and my PC, no luck. Any guidance on this?

I understand you're seeing a "Couldn't connect, check your internet and try again" error in Figma Make even though your internet is working fine with other applications.

To help troubleshoot, could you confirm a couple of things?

  • Does the issue occur when connecting to a different network, such as a mobile hotspot?
  • Does it still happen when switching to a different AI model? You can find steps here: Select an AI model to use in Figma Make

If the issue persists, please submit a bug report so our team can take a closer look:

  1. Go to the Support Hub
  2. Click Start a chat and type "Report a bug"
  3. In the form, please include:
    • The direct link to the Make file where you're seeing the issue
    • A screenshot of the error message
    • From the Make file, click the ? button in the bottom right corner, select Check network settings, and include a screenshot of that as well

This will help our team investigate the issue more efficiently.
