There are still noticeable issues with CPU spikes and stuttering. Most notably when making a selection or moving selected objects all the way to the left side, with pointer crossing over to the layers penal. This causes 95C temperature spike and cpu throttling.
While screen recording, I somehow clicked back into figma while having the selection active. It appeared without highlights and I could move it but that had no performance impact. Thank you for looking into this.
Hi there,
Sorry to hear you’re running into this issue — and thanks so much for the GIF! That really helps us understand exactly what's going on.
Could you try the following troubleshooting steps for me?
- Close any Figma tabs you're not using
- If you’re using the Desktop app: Force-quit the Figma Desktop app and restart it. If the issue persists, try clearing the cache.
If the issue continues even after trying those steps, would you mind submitting a report with the details of what you were doing when it happened? You can do that through this link: http://figma.bot/submitreport
It would also be super helpful if you could include a Chrome performance profile in your report. This helps our team better understand the performance impact and identify what’s causing the issue.
Thanks for your patience!
Thanks so much. I just sent everything over. I am reaching out to Apple they can run more throw diagnostics. I just want to make sure it’s not hardware related. I’ll report back.
