Images not loading in Figma preview

Hello Figma Support,

I’m experiencing an issue where images are not loading or visible in the preview.

This problem has been occurring for about a week now. The images appear to be missing in the preview, even though they are present in the design.

Could you please look into this and let me know if there is a known issue or if there are any steps I can take to resolve it?

Hey ​@Fanya, Celine from the Figma Community Support team here. Thanks for the report. To help narrow this down, could you confirm:

  • Is this happening in Present mode (prototype preview)?
  • Does it happen in the browser, the desktop app, or both? 
  • Is it every image, or specific ones (e.g. only images used as fills, or only certain file types)?

A couple of quick things to try in the meantime:

  • Force-quit and reopen Figma.
  • Duplicate the file and check if the images still fail to appear in Present mode on the duplicate.
  • If it happens in the browser, please try to another browser and in the incognito browser if you can see the images.

If it persists after that, we'd like our team to take a closer look. To do that, go to the Support Hub / Type “Report a bug, Contact an agent” / Click Start a chat and select Enter / In the form, include the URL of the file and grant "Can View" access to support-share@figma.com and attach a screen recording of the issue. This allows us to reproduce the issue and investigate, thanks!
