Question

If Make AI repeatedly tries the same (ineffective) solution to a problem without fixing it, is there any way to recover the wasted credits?

I’ve spent most of my credits for the month attempting to fix a small problem in a make prototytpe. After each update the AI claims to have solved the issue, but has not done so. After explaining that the issue has not bee addressed, and providing screenshots, etc. the AI appears to repeat the same steps that have just failed. When provided with screenshots of the frontend, or console output, the AI repeatedly hallucinated things that weren’t in the screenshots and proceeded to work ahead based on those hallucinations, wasting more credits.

Hi @John Buckley ,

Thanks for joining our forums and making your first post! I can understand how the experience you’ve had might be frustrating - outputs from generative AI can sometimes not be what you expect, especially when you factor in the prompt, file context, and the model used. While there isn’t a way to recover the credits, they will reset in accordance with your billing cycle.

If you still can’t resolve the problem, please reach out to our support team with more information. I recommend including information about the problem you are trying to resolve, and also include a link to the file itself. Be sure to also share it with support-share@figma.com so our team can access.
